In this video, I show how I "fixed" my newly-acquired 2011 Mercedes GLK 350 so it can be driven short distances, by cutting the front driveshaft in half. This does NOT make the car capable of driving any distance, as the transfer case will attempt to send power to the front axle, which can't be good for the case. But this kludge of a fix will let you move the car in and out of the garage as you do the rest of the repair.
Update: The transfer case was indeed in need of rebuilding (or at least needed the output shaft "gear cluster" replaced). Here's a link to the video on the rebuild of the car's transfer case. It covers what you'll need to do the same to your GLK 350 (and probably other variants that use the 722.9 transmission / transfer case). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZN35QDiBV8
Please like and subscribe - I'd really appreciate it.
