At least on the W203 and maybe others, I never look forward to this job because you have to remove the driveshaft to easily access the top fill plug! Talk about a pain. So it was time to find a better way for most 1998 to 2006 models - https://mercedessource.com/store/1998-2006-4matic-transfer-case-quick-fluid-change-bottle. This pressure bottle can save you a lot of time.
