Both cars are completely different in their approach to performance and engineering but both cars are two of the best high performance cars you can buy today for the same values. The power delivery of the Nissan R35 GTR is pure insanity as the twin turbos spool up so quick and linear on the 3.8 V6 that it throws you back in your seat. The power delivery is intense but also refined which is truly something to be experienced. On the flip side the AMG GTR powered by the hand built 4.0 Bi Turbo V8 is Germanys answer to the Shelby GT500 in how it delivers it's muscle car power and sounds into the experience of driving the AMG GTR on your favorite backroads. Both cars are exceptional performers in every regard from grip, chassis, braking and overall fun factor. The Nissan R35 GTR is a Japanese Prize Fighter and the AMG GTR is a German Sledgehammer! The prices today for a Nissan R35 GTR in low mile good condition can range from $120,000 up to $180,000 or more for a NISMO. The AMG GTR is very difficult to find with low miles today but they tend to be priced a bit lower from $120,000 to $170,000k with the median price to be around $135-$155 today. The AMG GTR may be the better value for performance in the current market but historically the Nissan R35 GTR will be a stronger long term hold on investment it seems based on comps and current market trends. Both cars are no longer in production and AMG already diluted their new AMG GT with a bigger heavier car using the SL chassis, AWD and an automatic gearbox taking the prior AMG GT to a luxury Grand Touring machine and not a raw race car. The new upcoming R35 GTR replacement will be hybrid powered making it very difficult to modify so the R35 will be the legend and the final one of it's kind to exist and this will for sure create a boost in the market values.
