Brake switch failures are a common problem on Hondas of this vintage. If your Honda won't come out of park then you might have a brake light switch problem. You might also have an ABS/TCS light on. It's an easy diagnosis as well as fix. You don't even need any tools other than a scan tool to pull codes if you have any. Just make sure you install and adjust it properly. Do that, and you'll be back on the road in no time.Part #: 36750-SJA-013Link: http://parts.landmarkhonda.com/products/BRAKE-LIGHT-SWITCH-(36750%252dSJA%252d013).htmlEncore scanner: http://www.jbtoolsales.com/otc-3893-encore-obdii-deluxe-tablet-automotive-scan-tool-kit/#oid=1002_1The best place for answers to your automotive questions: http://www.ericthecarguy.comRelated videos. The Art of Diagnosis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBhr416hAHIElectrical Troubleshooting Basics (Part 1): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLVu2HYtOhAElectrical Troubleshooting Basics (Part 2): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVSvA0y-peAHow To Test Relays: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWmt6gorzUgRelated Articles. How To Solve Electrical Problems: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-automotive-electrical-problemsHow To Solve Brake Problems:http://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-brake-problemsDiscussion about this video: http://ericthecarguy.com/kunena/18-The-EricTheCarGuy-Video-Forum/51474-rl-brake-light-switch-repair#99228EricTheCarGuy code lookup: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/obd-code-lookupFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/EricTheCarGuy?fref=tsTwitter: https://twitter.com/EricTheCarGuyGoogle+: https://plus.google.com/100195180196698058780/postsInformation on Premium Membership: https://www.ericthecarguy.com/premium-content-streaming-etcg-contentStay DirtyETCGDue to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information.
