Transport accounts for 37% (the largest share) of energy-related CO2 emissions In Ireland, with heavy duty vehicles responsible for around 25% of all road transport emissions including PM and NOx emissions: zero tailpipe emissions is better for the environment and human health. In this presentation, Dr James Carton, SFI funded Assistant Professor in Sustainable Energy at DCU, discusses the global roll-out of zero tailpipe emissions vehicles, battery electric vehicles & hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles, and their inevitable expanding rollout and scale up in Ireland.
