Over the past decade there has been an official Formula 1 game by Codemasters every single year, where you can use all of the cars and tracks from that year. However, individual F1 cars can also be found in a lot of mainstream racing games, where they are often among the fastest cars that are available. Here you can see fast laps with 18 different F1 cars from the past 40 years in 18 different games and on 18 different tracks. Enjoy the show!

Big thanks to Paul from the PS1 Racing Challenge for recording iRacing and to ThunderTHR for recording Gran Turismo 5 for me, since I didn't own the F1 cars myself in those games. Paul and Thunder both like to show a lot of different racing games on their channels as well, so consider giving them a follow.

Note that these are not necessarily all the non-F1 racing games that feature F1 cars or all the F1 cars that exist in these games. It is simply a curated selection of exactly the cars and tracks that I wanted to show, as always in these types of compilation videos. No games, cars, tracks or replays were missed or forgotten. I am showing exactly what I intend to show.
(This really shouldn't even have to be stated but I constantly get comments that falsely accuse me of having "missed" things in my videos, so I thought I would make it extra clear this time that this is not the case. I know what I want to show in my videos and I am showing exactly that.)
For this video I have decided to show a different car and track in each game and all the cars are shown on tracks on which they also drove in real life (except in The Crew of course). I am also not showing any cars that are older than 40 years, since I don't find them as interesting as the more recent ones. I am also showing a cockpit view replay for each game for which I have one.
Gran Turismo had fictional F1-style cars in GT3 and GT4 but since GT5 the franchise also has official ones, with two different Ferrari cars in GT5, Ayrton Senna's Lotus in GT6, Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes in GT Sport and Ayrton Senna's McLaren in GT7.
Forza Motorsport had some Lotus cars in FM5 and FM6 and a Renault in FM7. In FM8 there are only the 88 McLaren and the 90 Ferrari for now and nothing more recent yet.
All 3 Project Cars games feature a lot of older Lotus cars and the last two Grid games feature Fernando Alonso's Renault. TOCA Race Driver 3 features several iconic Williams cars.
McLaren cars from the Mika Häkkinen era can be found in rFactor 2 and Automobilista 2, while The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest feature several recent Red Bull cars.
Assetto Corsa and Test Drive Ferrari Racing Legends feature quite a few different Ferrari cars. iRacing has added several recent cars by Mercedes, McLaren and Williams.
Many games also feature F1 cars from the 50s, 60s or 70s but I won't mention those individually, as I am not as interested in them and intend to showcase F1 cars from the past 40 years in particular.
Which of the F1 cars in the video are your favorites? Have you driven any of them yourself? Are you interested in checking out some new games after discovering them through this video? Feel free to share your thoughts and memories about the games, cars and tracks in the comments.
This is the first ever video in which I am showing footage of iRacing, rFactor 2 and Automobilista 2, so I am once again expanding the list of games that I have shown on my channel, which now consists of over 170 different games.
