One thing I'd noticed was that this car wasn't getting up to temperature except when idling in traffic. Also there wasn't much heat coming out of the vents which all pointed to a faulty thermostat. A new one was bought and changing it wasn't too difficult (easier than the Volvo XC90). I'd made the right call because it now gets up to temperature and the heat is better now that we're heading towards winter.
