This video highlights installation of a Strutmasters suspension conversion kit on the REAR two wheels of a Mercedes CL 550. This video covers model years 2007 to 2014. Keep in mind many active factory suspensions, like the one in this Mercedes, will require converting all four wheels at once.

Important: There may have been updates to the installation process since this video was made. Please FOLLOW THE PAPER INSTRUCTIONS that come with the kit for the most up to date installation procedure.

This Mercedes CL 550 arrived on a rollback to the Strutmasters facility in North Carolina because it was sitting so low to the ground. We replaced the expensive and complicated factory parts with our exclusive Strutmasters suspension conversion system.

Our products are designed to be simple to install, provide a great ride quality and save customers thousands of dollars versus OE replacement parts. We work on customer vehicles every day to design new products and to stay on top of the latest suspension challenges.

Strutmasters was the first to offer a fully assembled suspension conversion kit in 1999. The company is still headquartered in North Carolina, with a team that strives to provide the best products and customer service in the industry. We use premium steel coil springs that are made exclusively for us in America. All of our conversion kits are assembled in small batches by experienced employees to ensure the highest quality.

These electronically-controlled factory suspension systems are very complicated and expensive! A common failure happens when rubber in the system cracks and leaks air or hydraulic fluid -- causing the onboard air compressor or hydraulic pump to eventually fail. This results in an immediate loss of ride height and renders many vehicles undriveable. Older, high-mileage vehicles will generally require multiple repairs to keep the system working. Some customers have spent upwards of five to eight thousand dollars or more (parts and labor) chasing a failing factory system.

Don't learn the hard way! Avoid multiple repairs that come with fixing the existing system (especially with cheap, imitation parts). Fix It Once, Fix It Right with the original -- Strutmasters! Obtain the vehicle ID (VIN) number and get the exact product for your vehicle by calling one of our suspension experts at 866-597-2397.
