Have you bought an OBD2 Scan tool (diagnostic tool) for your Mercedes but it won't turn off the warning light, then we have the answer as to why the warning light will not turn off, and its really simple.

We are assuming first of all that you have bought an OBD2 tool with the correct capabilities for the system you're trying to reset. For example if you need to reset the ABS warning lights, you need a tool that has ABS system capabilities.
