AdBlue is used in most modern diesel cars (EURO6d-TEMP).
I recorded hidden parameters in Volvo XC60 B4 mild-hybrid diesel 2020 using Car Scanner ELM OBD2 app - it shows Adblue level, DPF soot % and NOx trap in EUR6d 2018+ diesel cars.

You need to select your vehicle profile or basic profile OBD/EOBD of your car brand (BMW, VW, Audi, Ford, Mercedes, etc) in Settings/Connection Profile (look for your engine or most similar engine).

AdBlue (DEF) is dosed very often in small portions, whenever NOx level rises in NOx trap.

Car Scanner app shows detailed information about DEF (AdBlue) and NOx catalytic converter. It may come handy when you often get AdBlue warning, emergency turtle mode, or when you should add Adblue fluid. Parameters are especially important in winter as AdBlue fluid solidifies at minus 11.5C and requires heating.

DEF means Diesel Exhaust Fluid (AdBlue - 32.5% urea and 67.5% water) for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in diesel exhaust gases

Available DEF parameters in Car Scanner ELM OBD2:
- AdBlue tank level (litres)
- DEF concentration %
- AdBlue tank temperature (in winter AdBlue requires heating)
- NOx sensor concentration
- commanded DEF dosing %
- average DEF consumption demanded vs actual, l/hour
- DEF usage in current driving cycle

DPF parameters and DPF regen symptoms in Car Scanner ELM OBD2:
DPF regen (0 = no regen, 1 = passive regen, 2 = active regeneration)
Normalised trigger for PF regen % (DPF/GPF soot content %)
PF = particle filter (DPF/GPF)
DPF regen usually starts at 80-100 % PF trigger

Car Scanner is universal app and can be used in several dozens of car brands (VW, TOYOTA, HYUNDAI, KIA, SKODA, VOLVO, RENAULT, NISSAN, MERCEDES and many more).

1. Settings / My cars: create New car, give any name, then select it
2. Settings / Connection profile, select Volvo SPA 4-cyl or 3-cyl

2. Settings / My cars: create New car, then select it
3. Settings / Vehicle options, select your brand basic OBD/EOBD profile
4. Settings / Dashboard / Restore Dashboard: select dashboard.json file
5. Settings/Connection/Advanced, activate options:
- "Optimisation for CAN ISO 15765-4" - OK
- "Optimise UDS requests" - OK

Custom dashboard works best with identical car profile as it was created. Custom dashboard in Car Scanner PRO is like custom skins in Torque Pro. You can use this dashboard with any other car profile, fields in layout need to be manually filled with sensors from your car profile
