After removing the front driveshaft, it seemed that the noise was in the transfer case. So I decided to tear it apart while in the vehicle. I'm am self taught mechanic, and it will be costly for me to repair this the right way. I don't know how much longer it will hold water anyways. I don't want to dump a lot of money into getting this back on the road. So then, AWD to RWD conversion is my best option, I have never tried this before, and don't try this at home, unless you have good mechanical skills.
