If your brake lights are always on, have trouble shifting out of park, and have a ABS/BAS/ESP light on your mercedes w210 then a common solution is to replace the brake light switch which is known to fail. This may not always solve your problem but it is pretty easy to change and not that expensive. This is the 2nd one I had to change in my ownership with the last one only lasting 6 years. Full instructions on how to change the brake light switch in the video as well as some tips if your car is stuck in park. This is pretty easy to do yourself and only requires a Phillips screwdriver.

Instructions will be the same or similar for most models E320, E430, and E55 AMG, but there are 2 different brake light switches so make sure you get the right one.
