Check that one off the bucket list! It's not every day you get the chance to experience a ultra-exclusive track day at one of the most exclusive race tracks in the world, but thanks to the amazing hosts and organizers Ultimate Track Day and Live Your Life Exotics, we got to do just that. Thermal Club is an exclusive club with a $125,000 membership fee that just so happens to offer a world-class race track to its members, among other things. Limited to 500 members, the average net worth of a member is $30 million. The initiation fee isn't all you need to pay, though. You also must purchase real estate, either trackside or off-track, to be a member. Trackside lots start at $700,000 with the typical villa costing $3 million.

The 2-day event hosted by Live Your Life Exotics began with a supercar rally from Aston Martin Newport Beach to Thermal, a reception at one of Thermal members' villas, a driver's dinner and an overnight stay at the track's mini-hotel rooms, which they call the Thermal "Casitas". Day 2 was focused on the track day, limited to 25 supercars, with 4 pro race car drivers as instructors.

This was my first time on track at Thermal, running the 2-mile South Palm circuit on this occasion. The Mercedes AMG GT R performed incredibly well, running a best lap of 1:22:xx after 2 full sessions of practice and still a bad line.
