1998 production year Mercedes-Benz w210 chassis, Japan spec Display and control unit (command) malfunction. It activated and deactivates features (mostly navigation, temperature lowering) as if someone presses buttons, whereas it has nothing to do with physical buttons.
Problem is with electrons of the unit.
Quickest solution: replace.
