Paint-to-Sample South Sea Blue Metallic (südseeblaumetallic; 5SO)

South Sea Blue Metallic is a modern Mercedes-Benz color, originally introduced on the third-generation A-Class (W176), second-generation B-Class (W246), and first-generation GLA (X156) as a standard color. It is now offered on the current G-Class (W464) as an optional G Manufaktur color, alongside a similarly named but different color called Sea Blue Metallic.

Through the Paint-to-Sample Plus program, a customer requested feasibility for the commissioning of this Mercedes-Benz color on their Porsche. With the color passing feasibility tests, Porsche added this color into the Paint-to-Sample portfolio for the 718, 992, and Taycan models in 2023.
