The White House Correspondents Dinner was this past Friday, and for the first time in 6 years, the sitting President of the United States actually attended the dinner. And President Biden decided to use his time at the mic to make a joke about Trump, which caused the RNC to lash out angrily and claim that Biden isn't "uniting" the country like he promised. Saturday night was the white house correspondent Association's dinner. And for the first time in six years, the sitting president of the United States actually showed up for it. And he would've shown up last year, had the event not been canceled due to COVID. But yes, president Biden was there after Donald Trump sned the event four years in, in a row and Biden. When it was his turn to speak, actually made a pretty decent shot at Donald Trump. When he said, this is the first time the president attended this dinner in six years, it's understandable. We had a horrible plague followed by two years of COVID of course implying that Donald Trump was in fact the plague. And I thought it was pretty clever, right? Whoever was doing his joke, writing pretty decent job, but that little bitty joke apparently set off the Republican national committee and they took to Twitter to denounce this vicious attack from president Biden. They said, Joe Biden just called president Trump, a horrible play reminder Biden ran on uniting the country.

I'm gonna stop you right there. Yes. Biden did run on uniting the country. And yes, Biden's campaign was obviously pretty naive about being able to get Republicans to work with him. But let's be very clear of about something here. The reason the country is not United right now is not because of a failure on president Biden's behalf. There's plenty of things to go after Joe Biden for trust me, we do it all the time, but not uniting. The country is not one of them. The reason there is this big divide in the country right now is because of the Republican party. Let's be very clear about that. Let's make sure there's no room for anybody to think something else, because who is the party of obstruction right now, who is the party that has consistently voted against every single thing president Heden has attempted to do, right?

The infrastructure package build back better, uh, uh, extra stimulus for Americans, the extended child tax credit. Yes, you could argue Joe mansion helped tank all of those things as well, but he wouldn't have been able to do that. Had it not been for every single Republican, also trying to kill all of these initiatives, obviously on the infrastructure package, a couple Republicans did flip, but beyond that, there was pretty much uniformity with the Republican party in trying to prevent these things from becoming a reality as for the non unity among the non members of Congress in this country, which party is out there saying, let's go Brandon flying big, giant flags that say, let's go Brandon. And for those that aren't little whiny babies, they actually say F Joe Biden, which party is still out there claiming that the 2020 election was stolen, even though it wasn't which party is out there today, holding their little hate rallies, where they spread propaganda and lies to keep people in the dark about what is really happening in this country today. That's not the Democrats that is in fact, the Republicans, if there's no unity in this country, the blame for that lies squarely at the feet of groups like the Republican national committee. So you can come out, you can act all indignant.
