The German company is soon preparing to unveil the new Mercedes-Benz CLA compact sedan.
The sedan will retain the proportions that have already become a trademark for this model, while the design will change quite significantly.
Thus, the CLA will receive an original front end.
The headlights will have LED running lights in the style of the brand logo, as well as almost all upcoming Mercedes-Benz novelties.
As for the rear, here the most interesting are the lights with the same three-beam parking lights stars united by a narrow LED strip.
The third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLA will be the first model built on the MMA platform.
The sedan will be offered with both internal combustion engines (in hybrid versions) and all-electric powertrains. Externally, they will differ only in details, such as the grille trim and the presence or absence of exhaust tips (our renderings show the internal combustion engine version). Hybrid versions will be equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch robotized transmission. The basic will be front-wheel drive, and for a surcharge it will be possible to get all-wheel drive transmission. About electric modifications it is known that they will have 800-volt architecture and energy-efficient electric motors docked with a new two-speed gearbox. In the same case, the basic drive will be rear-wheel drive, as the only electric motor will be located on the rear axle.
