Mercedes-Benz CLA Concept. A sleek design with a powerhouse concept that runs more than 750 km.
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the all-electric CLA Concept car ahead of the Munich Motor Show, designed to showcase the forthcoming real-production model. The concept car is a modern 4-door Coupe with a Shark Nose facelift with a close and illuminated front grille, throughout with outstanding headlights featuring the Mercedes-Benz tri-star logo.
This concept car features a curved windscreen that flows into the slightly sloped roof. The designer also offers a slender body, simple glass enclosures and longer wheel bases, which promise a more comfortable rear cabin.
The sleek design has been enhanced with flat-embedded door handles, while 21-inch wheels are sure to draw attention. Other highlights include a curved rear end and a moving star glow glass roof.
The cabin is designed to have "minimal elegance fused with technology" and features a 5-end display on the front console, which Mercedes-Benz aren't too specific, but all 3 central displays use MB. ALL NEW OS AND WATER COOLING CHIP FROM NVIDIA
Mercedes-Benz says the operating system can be customized to individual needs and offers a variety of customizations. It also includes a virtual assistant and private art gallery to display photos from the NFT wallet.
Others will also feature a circular display that integrates with the revolving air vents. Mercedes-Benz says, "Air vents are carefully positioned behind the screen. In addition to the versatile display, the concept car also features two-tone Nappa leather upholstery, aluminum accents, and a floating center console with illuminated cupholders and a wireless smartphone charger with a clear surface with illuminated lights.
"The concept car was built on the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) platform and will feature two separate batteries. The batteries in the initial model will feature the chemical properties of lithium iron phosphate, while the upper model will feature an anode design with silicone oxide for excellent energy density."
Mercedes-Benz didn't go into much detail, but said the battery is "very small" and lighter because the "cell module is held up using glue instead of screws," Mercedes-Benz has no capacity specified, but is expected to have power consumption at 12 kWh per 100 km. A long run of 750 km. Per Charge per WLTP Testing Standard
CLA Concept comes with 800V architecture and 250 kW DC fast charging capacity, which enables it to travel up to 400 km. In just 15 minutes, and Mercedes-Benz has also mentioned its 2-way charging capabilities, which will enable Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) functions.
The power comes from an electric motor that provides 238 horsepower, which weighs less than 110 kg. And besides an efficient transmission, the concept car also features a Class 2 semi-automatic drive system aided by LiDAR sensors and multiple cameras.
Production format data will slowly be revealed over the next few months, but Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Källenius said, "The CLA Concept is a pioneer for Mercedes-Benz's all-new starter electric vehicle. The product group will comprise four all-new cars, including a 4-door Coupe, Shooting Brake, and two SUVs, each of which will feature greatly enhanced product features."
