2021 BMW M3 Competition Sound - Exterior and interior Details Crazy Monster

2021 BMW M3
Starting at: $70.895

Overview
Based on the recently redesigned 3-series sedan, the new 2021 BMW M3 aims to revive driver interaction on nameplates. BMW demonstrates its commitment to that sentiment by continuing to offer a manual transmission, at least on the regular model. An eight-speed automatic is required on the more powerful M3 Competition. Behind their striking and polarized grille is a familiar 3.0-liter inline twin-turbo engine that produces between 473 and 503 hp. The second is dedicated to the aforementioned Competition model, the first will be offered with all-wheel drive. Likewise, the 2021 M3 Competition continues to highlight the performance potential of the sports sedan with race-ready hardware challenging rivals such as the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and the Mercedes-AMG C63.
What's new for 2021?

For 2021, the M3 – along with the two-door M4 coupe we reviewed separately – is an all-new model and represents the sixth generation of the iconic sports sedan.

Pricing and which to buy
M3: 70,895 USD
M3 Contest: $73,795

It's a pity that the more powerful M3 Competition is only offered with an automatic transmission as the six-speed manual transmission on the regular version is so satisfying. We understand why some people will be drawn to the M3 Comp - its additional horsepower and torque as well as the availability of all-wheel drive, for starters - but we prefer the only one with the manual. Aside from the subjective choices of exterior and interior styling, we recommend the M Drive Professional package (onboard drift analyzer and lap timer) and the M Driver package (opens higher top speed and includes a high-performance driving class).

Engine, transmission and performance
Like the new M4 coupe, the 2021 M3 sedan has an inline 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine. The regular version sends 473 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. A six-speed manual transmission is the only one offered. The M3 Competition's engine is even more powerful, making 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet, but it's only offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but the final competition will also be offered with all-wheel drive. Every M3 also has adaptive dampers and adjustable brake pedal feel. The sedan can also be fitted with even more powerful carbon-ceramic brakes, featuring eye-catching gold-painted brake calipers. Our first drive of the regular M3 and the Competition variant demonstrated their ability to remove smooth slips, encouraged by the optional M Drift Analyzer (part of the M package. Professional Drive). We also love the manual transmission's pleasing shifting, and we're also pleased with the engine's smooth power delivery and sustained acceleration.

Real-world fuel economy and MPG
The EPA estimates the 2021 M3 sedan will earn 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. However, we haven't run the Bimmer on the 75 mph highway fuel economy route, which is part of our extended test mode, so we can't rate world mpg its real.

Furniture, Amenities and Merchandise
Aside from the unique "M" badging and different trim details, the M3's interior remains essentially the same as the regular 3-series. That means the M3 has a more pedestrian-like design, passenger space, and outside view. While the M cars are known for their better performance, they also meet or exceed the materials and build quality of the top 3-series. Of course, the M3 has more carbon fiber and microscopic accents to enhance the aesthetic. The driver facing the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster will switch to M View in sportier driving modes; they're activated via the prominent red buttons on the M3's chunky steering wheel. Switching to M View adds a gearshift indicator and replaces the regular tachometer with a more readable tachometer. A set of lightweight front seats are available, which are heavily upgraded (standard on the Competition) and provide incredible support without sacrificing much comfort, although that may not be the case on long trips. go long distance.
