There's a good range of engines that give an excellent balance of performance and economy. A jittery ride and poor refinement means the driving experience doesn't really match the car's luxurious intentions. It's pricey, too. The Mercedes B-Class is a decent choice if you want as much space and prestige as possible from your family hatchback. You'll pay handsomely for the privilege, though, and it's not great to drive
