You will notice this by how much you have to move the steering wheel before the tires move. If you have two to three inches of play in the steering wheel you need to find out why! Sometimes it may just be a simple problem that can be fixed by an inexpensive part. In this video Kent will show you one very common steering wear point.This is not just specific to old diesels. It applies to most Mercedes from the mid 1960s to the early 1990's.
