2011 Mercedes Benz C200 BlueEfficiency (W204) Review

The pre-facelift W204 C Class was a real looker back in its time, being all so elegant compared to it's BMW counterpart: the E90 3 Series, as well as the B8 bodied Audi A4, but by today's standards, it's interior and some exterior details are starting to look a bit dated. No worries as Mercedes Benz released a facelift of the W204 in 2011 featuring slightly updated exterior styling, and more importantly, an interior that is leaps and bounds better than the pre-facelift model.

For the C200 variant and its 1.8L M271 I4 engine, Mercedes Benz dropped the supercharged Kompressor model, with a 5 speed auto, and replaced it with the C200 BlueEFFICIENCY with its similar 1.8L M271 I4 engine, and the same horsepower output, but with an additional 20Nm of torque and a new 7 speed automatic. While on paper this looks much better than the C200 Kompressor, you will see in the video, that specs aren't always everything.
