The M156 AMG engine was a 6.2L, naturally aspirated V8 engine produced by Mercedes-AMG from 2006 to 2014. It was the first engine designed and built in-house by Mercedes-AMG, and it was known for its high-revving nature and powerful performance. It was used in a variety of high-performance Mercedes-AMG vehicles, including the C63 AMG, E63 AMG, CLS63 AMG, SL63 AMG, and CLK63 AMG.
