Subscribe if you would like to support this project. You may need my help one day and I will be there for you.
I know it is not technically called a "Flywheel", but I added the word "Flywheel" to the title because I found this is often what people search for. What this video and I will explain why this title is important.
This video is relevant to all Mercedes-Benz Mercedes 280SL, 380SL, SL500, 450SL, S500, 560SEL, E500, 560SEC, 420SEL, 500SL, 560SL & more.
I am documenting every part of this vehicle as I put it back together. The idea is to end up with the best documented 560SL rebuilds on the Internet.
Links to the manual and links to all tools used in this video are below.
I want everyone who visits my channel to know about a friend of mine named Tasos. His videos inspire me to be more like him. His videos have helped me every step of the way. There is NO way I would be this far without his videos and his help. You can find his YouTube channel at:

My videos are not sponsored by anyone. The products and tools I use are products and tools I have purchased with my own money. I include links below to any special tools or products used in this video.
I own the Kynup Digital Caliper Tool and it has performed well:

That's all I used for tools.
This video is very detailed and is intended for the absolute beginner (ME). This is how I did things. If you see a problem, let me and the world know by leaving a comment.
Disclosure: I have never pulled an engine before and I have never rebuilt one either. This video series is documenting an inexperienced old guy tore apart his 1987 560SL.
Here is a link to the on-line manual that I am somewhat following:

I will be doing a Facebook Live (or YouTube live) when I start this car for the very first time since 2008. Make sure you get notified when I publish a new video so you don't miss this special event.
