It has many on board features that allow you to read codes, file repair reports, do a quick smog check, or view live data. You can also read ABS codes for most domestic makes. Not long ago I did a review on the Actron from OTC, I think this tool is comparable to that tool. They both have similar features with the exception that the BlueDriver does not require additional software to be purchased a la carte. This ability gives this tool something of an edge when it comes to price however it does not do everything the Actron does.
