Hello, friends!
Here we are at the second video about the Electronic Steering Lock repair functionality. This time, I will show you how to clear the ESL error from a Mercedes-Benz W247 B-class vehicle. The ESL is blocked, the car cannot be started or moved, so I need to resolve the problem fast and on the spot.
Using the MN033 - FBS4 ESL Repair functionality and the CB026 cable set by ABRITES I can clear errors like the B225409 and continue fixing the module unbothered.
The connection to the ESL within the car is different from that on bench. First, I need to remove the glove compartment, in order to get to the ESL. Then, I cannot use the designated ESL/ELV connector of the CB026. The ESL/ELV's module connector is difficult to reach, so in this case I need to use the needle connector to connect to the diagnostic line of the ELV module via the vehicle's wiring. In this car the diagnostic line is between pin 1 of the blue EZS connector and pin 2 of the ELV connector. It may vary between different platforms. After that, what you do in the ABRITES Diagnostics for Mercedes-Benz menu is exactly the same as on bench.
