Tonight marks Round 1 of the eleventh season of UKSimRacing’s GT3 League as hosted on iRacing. We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action from Sunday 25th June in this post-round broadcast, bringing it to you as if it were live!

With the dust having only just settled from the thrilling conclusion of Season 10, we charge into summer with an all new season of the ever entertaining GT3 series. A total of 60 drivers shall compete across the ELITE; PRO; and AM classes for the right to be crowned their class’s Drivers’ Champion over the course of nine rounds. Moreover, they shall be battling it out in the wider Teams’ Championship meaning there shall be plenty for our drivers to play for in this international series.

New for this season, we have the arrival of the latest generation of Porsche GT3 machinery on the grid with the 992 GT3 R making its debut. Additionally, the final round of the season shall be undroppable, encouraging our drivers to participate in every round possible in order to maximise their championship credentials!

As for tonight's host venue, we get underway at the Japanese circuit of Fuji International Speedway. Located in Shizuoka Prefecture, the circuit is a staple of multiple international and major domestic series including the FIA WEC and Super GT; enjoyed most for the contrast between its 0.92 mile start-finish straight and its winding corner sequences. In taking on its 14 corner “No Chicane” layout, our drivers shall need to demonstrate their technical prowess should they wish to stay one step ahead of their rivals!
