It’s time for an almighty all-American drag race! ????????????????????????

We’ve got Mat lining up in the all-new, all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning, and he’s about to go head-to-head against a Shelby Super Snake & a Ford Mustang!

There’s a whole load of power lining up here, so let’s compare the stats. Starting with the F-150 Lightning, it comes equipped with two electric motors which are good for 580hp and 1,050Nm of torque. It’s also equipped with a 130kWh battery pack. However, given the sheer size of this machine, coupled with the battery, it’s pretty heavy - it tips the scales at 2,989kg!!

Alongside it, we have the Mustang. It’s a whole lot lighter than the F,150, weighing in at 1,743kg. Under the bonnet, you’ll find a 5-litre naturally-aspirated V8 that can deliver 450hp and 528Nm of torque. It only powers the rear wheels, though!

And then finally we have the Shelby. Under its huge bonnet, you’ll find a 5-litre supercharged V8 that can put down 775hp and 880Nm! And just like the F-150, it comes equipped with AWD. We’d tell you the weight, but Shelby hasn’t released the figures!

So what do we think - will the Shelby walk it? Will the F-150’s massive weight prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out - LET’S RACE!
