What will happen when Audi’s smallest performance saloon goes head-to-head against the largest Audi performance saloon? Well, it’s time to find out!

Mat’s lining up in the new Audi RS3 and it’s facing off against the Audi S8! But how do their stats compare?

Starting with the RS3, it’s packing a 2.5-litre turbocharged 5-cylinder engine under the bonnet, which is good for 400hp and 500Nm of torque. It’s relatively light for a performance saloon, at 1,575kg, and it’ll set you back around £56,000.

Then we have the S8, which is a whole lot heavier, weighing in at 2,220kg! It’s also much more expensive, at £103,000, but with good reason - not only is it super luxurious inside, but it’s also mighty powerful! Under the bonnet, you’ll find a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can put down 571hp and 800Nm.

So the S8 clearly has more power, but will the massive weight difference work against it? There’s only one way to find out - LET’S RACE!
