Mercedes GLC Coupe NEW 2017- 2016 Review AMG Interior Exterior Benz Coupe, That brings us to the GLC 43 Coup?, a twin-turbo V6 version of Merc's mid-sized SUV with added 'style'. It's good for a 4. 9sec 0-62 time, a shape that's identical to the regular GLC 43. In fact, the only thing that's reduced is start capacity - there's around 200 litres less.

Fall behind the wheel, and you'd be hard pressed to see the difference between this and the regular GLC - until you look in the mirror. As the dash and view over the bonnet is pretty much the same, rear awareness is seriously hampered by the sloping roof and high rear window.

Commence driving and you soon realise that the Percussion? feels rather different to the regular GLC. Wherever that strikes a good balance between ride quality and body control, the Coup? is troubled by rough surfaces far more. Within splendor mode, there's too much float and wallow over crests and contrainte, while bumps and road imperfections still send a thump through the car.

Sport mode sorts out the body control, but you will feel poor surfaces even more. Body roll is at least well covered although the stiffer cropping means you get jostled around in your couch by mid-corner bumps. Change up to Sport As well as mode and things get very bumpy indeed, we suspect you'd desire a keep track of to consider good thing about the added roll stiffness.

We'd be prepared to accept that if there was some fun to be enjoyed, but regrettably it's all very qualified and not very much of a giggle. Yes, you can cover ground right away for such a huge thing, but the steering shows lifeless and the varying rack suddenly speeds up with somewhat of locking mechanism on.

At the time you get back again on the power, there is none of the playfulness you join a Porsche Macan and the steadiness control is always present. The best you can expect is a neutral balance, but understeer is never past an acceptable limit away.

The motor unit certainly has plenty of grunt, though. There's respectable torque from low down yet it's happy to rev out if you need to enjoy its six-cylinder rasp. Stick it in Sport Plus mode and you even find some pops and crackles from the tire out.

The GLC 43 Hen house? is most definitely a niche within a specialized niche - effectively it's a big, practical SUV with much of the functionality taken out. Throw in an engine that is likely to do around 27mpg even when driven with some restraint and numbing handling, and it is tricky to recommend.

Ultimately, you'd have to be completely affected with how the GLC Coup? looks and want something with some speed to ponder over it. If you aren't just after a stylish SUV with entertaining handling, a Porsche Macan makes a lot more sense.
