Believe it or not, my Aston Martin Vantage GT8 is now five years old! As such, it's in need of a run out for the annual service and MOT, so let's head over to the Aston Martin dealer with an update on what it's done over the last 12 months and the costs involved.
The Road to GT8 series back in late 2016 offered the most fantastic opportunity to follow the build process of this very car. After taking delivery in the first week of January 2016, it has since travelled across Europe including trips to Sardinia, chasing the Mille Miglia in Rome, driven at Vmax on the Autobahn and for some laps at the Nurburgring.
I've consistently said that it doesn't necessarily make the most sense as a car, but it's a very personal one for me and such a delight to drive each and every time. Without fail, being at the wheel of the GT8 puts a smile on your face, and will permanently be a member of my collection.
Over the last 12 months it has only driven 600 miles in total, but not required any additional work or service along the way. That means it's only needed the annual £600 road tax, a service of about £1,000, and will now need the 6 year old tyres replaced given their age, for around £1,200 for the set of Michelin Sport Cup 2.
Thanks for watching, Tim
