All of the engines in the #Audi #Q7 are coupled to an eight-speed tiptronic and the quattro permanent all-wheel drive. A choice of two diesel engines and one gasoline engine will be available at first. A plug-in hybrid model combined with a V6 TFSI will follow later. In the Q7 45 TDI quattro tiptronic, the diesel unit produces 170 kW (231 metric hp) of power and 500 Nm (368.8 lb-ft) of torque. It accelerates the large SUV from a standstill to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 7.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 229 km/h (142.3 mph). The more powerful version in the Q7 50 TDI quattro tiptronic delivers 210 kW (286 metric hp) and 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft). It sprints from zero to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 6.3 seconds; top speed is 241 km/h (149.8 mph).The new three-liter gasoline engine in the Audi Q7 55 TFSI quattro tiptronic is the most powerful engine. Just like the two diesel engines, the V6 gasoline engine is charged by a monoturbo. The key data: 250 kW (340 metric hp), 500 Nm (368.8 lb-ft) of torque, from zero to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 5.9 seconds, 250 km/h (155.3 mph) top speed (regulated).

The new 3.0 TFSI in the Audi Q7 55 TFSI is the most powerful engine in the range. The V6 gasoline unit generates 250 kW (340 metric hp) and 500 Nm (368.8 lb-ft) of torque. It accelerates the large SUV from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 5.9 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155.3 mph). Fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is between 9.1 and 8.7 liters (25.8 and 27.0 US mpg), which corresponds to 208 to 199 grams of CO2 per kilometer (334.7 - 320.3 g/mi).

The new #Mercedes-Benz #GLE has a wealth of innovations. For example, the active suspension system E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL on a 48-volt basis is a world first. While the driving assistance systems take another step forward with Active Stop-and-Go Assist. The interior is even more spacious and comfortable, with a third seat row available on request. The infotainment system has larger screens, a full-colour head-up display with a resolution of 720 x 240 pixels and the MBUX Interior Assistant, which can recognise hand and arm movements and supports operating intentions. The exterior design not only exudes presence and power, but also sets a new standard for aerodynamics in the SUV segment. The GLE will receive a completely new range of engines on market launch in early 2019. The new 4MATIC ensures great agility on the road and superior performance off the beaten track.

The interior of the new GLE has grown considerably compared to the preceding model. Its 80 mm longer wheelbase (2995 mm) particularly benefits rear seat passengers, who now have well over one metre of legroom (1045 millimetres, +69 mm compared to the predecessor). This is where the new GLE also unveils a premiere in the form of the first fully electrically adjustable second seat row in this segment. A third seat row with two further seats which are almost full-size is available as another option. And also in the front seats, the impression of spaciousness is much more generous thanks to a steeper A-pillar.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4MATIC as the first petrol model on market launch is powered by an M 256 in-line six-cylinder engine systematically electrified with 48-volt technology (combined market launch: Its performance data: 270 kW (367 hp) and 500 Nm of torque, with a further 250 Nm of torque and 16 kW/22 hp available via EQ Boost over short periods. The integrated starter/alternator (ISG) is responsible for hybrid functions such as EQ Boost or energy recuperation, while allowing fuel savings that were previously reserved for high-voltage hybrid technology.

ISG eliminates the need for a belt drive for ancillary components at the front of the engine, which reduces its overall length. The slim design, together with the physical separation of intake/exhaust, creates space for near-engine exhaust aftertreatment. The 48-volt on-board power supply serves not only high power consumers such as the water pump and air-conditioning compressor, but also the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), which also supplies energy to the battery by means of highly efficient energy recuperation.

In all variants of the new GLE, power is transmitted by the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The broad ratio spread of gears one to nine allows a clearly perceptible reduction in engine speed and is a decisive factor behind the high level of energy efficiency and ride comfort. The high overall efficiency is reflected in the fuel economy. Shortened shift and response times ensure optimum spontaneity combined with outstandingly smooth gear changes. Particularly in manual mode and S mode, 9G-TRONIC responds immediately and enhances driving pleasure.
