Join me for a close-up look at the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT, which goes on sale in early 2024. The newcomer gains optional rear seats and has vastly more luggage space than its predecessor. Underpinned by the same alloy-intensive platform as the R232 SL roadster, the new GT 63 is a heavy car at 1,970kg (with all fluids and a 75kg driver). Unlike the old rear-drive GT, the latest generation features standard all-wheel-drive and four-wheel steer, which is partly why the car's weight has increased substantially.
