I have a 1999 ML320 that had a starting issue. It would start and then turn off after about 1 second. It would do this repeatedly. Sometimes it would never turn on. Thanks to 43SQD from benzworld, i found a solution. It is a bad key sensor on the ignition. It is not sending a proper reading of the key and kills ignition in the car.

I went to my junk yard and found a 1999 ML 320 and a 2003 ML430. Pulled the parts from both. The 2003 had a differe t part number and fit right in. I used the newer part even though it had a different part number because it was newer. My ML now starts like a charm.

It took about 15 minutes to complete. Thanks for watching
