In the spring of 2011, Mercedes-AMG developed a purebred racecar based on the wildly popular Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and introduced the SLS AMG GT3. The new racecar was an immediate success, scoring 25 victories and 2 championships - solidifying its legendary racing status.
