Thomas Winchester, Sr. - Celebration of Life Service - February 27, 2021

A Celebration of Life Service for Tom Winchester, Sr. (6/23/1937 - 1/24/2021) was held on 2/27/21. The service was to thank God for Tom's (Dad's, GrandPop's) life and to celebrate his faith in Jesus as Savior.

Pastor Dave Hess (Christ Community Church - Camp Hill, PA) led the service.

Thomas W. Winchester, Sr. of Mechanicsburg, PA, went home to be with Jesus on January 24, 2021, with his family by his side. He was 83 years old.

Tom was born to Robert and Sarah Winchester on June 23, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA. He met his wife Pearl in 1957 at Ursinus College, where they both graduated with degrees in Mathematics. Tom and Pearl married on June 10, 1961, and had three children: Pam, Susan, and Tom, Jr.

Tom retired in 1997 from a career in the aerospace industry at Thiokol, GE (Goddard Space Center), and Lockheed Martin. Additionally, Tom helped with his son's business, Main Line Trim. Tom was an "out of this world" project manager and leader in each of his endeavors, which included the Boy Scouts, Sports, Church, and the deployment of satellites in the defense of freedom.

He loved spending time with his family, especially in Ocean City, NJ. Tom was a dedicated and loving spouse, father, and grandfather. He held an unwavering faith in God throughout his life, which he shared with those who surrounded him.

Tom joins his parents Robert J. Winchester, Jr. and Sarah A. Winchester (Dent), his brothers Robert (Bob) Winchester, III, and Charles (Bud) Winchester, and his son Tom, Jr. in Heaven.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Pearl, his brother Gary Winchester and wife Barbara, daughter Pam McClish and her husband Mark, daughter Susan Anderson and her husband Charlie, daughter-in-love Janet Benz-Lowe, and grandchildren Michael McClish and wife Jordan, Mitchell McClish, Nicole Anderson and her husband Brian Ackerley, and Megan Anderson.

His family thanks God for Tom's life, love, and all of the happy memories!
