Fabricating exhaust parts is not something that you will always need to do but when you do need to, it's good to have the right tools and know how. In this video I fabricate the 'A' pipe on my 1993 Acura Vigor. The OE part is no longer available and if it was it would be VERY expensive. I could not find the part in the aftermarket either. That meant that I had to make my own pipe. Through a combination of cutting, grinding, heating, and welding, I was able to make it happen. It may not be pretty, but at least it's quiet. With a little more practice with my welder I think I'll have this. No matter what, I hope the information in this video can help you if you're confronted with a similar situation. If not, I hope you're entertained by the video as you watch me learn how to weld exhaust pipes.Camera: Brian KastThe best place for answers to your automotive questions: http://www.ericthecarguy.comRelated videos. How To Find Exhaust Leaks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYVjkyLdID4How To Diagnose Exhaust Restrictions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-jp1IIJVVkHow To Fix Exhaust Rattles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tzQclY43IAHow To Use a Torch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPlndTrPK6ALongevity Welder/Plasma Cutter Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0n2CzzF0aAETools.Welder: http://www.jbtoolsales.com/longevity-migweld-140-140-amp-mig-welder-capable-of-flux-core-and-aluminum-gas-shielded-welding-110v/#oid=1002_1Plasma Cutter: http://www.jbtoolsales.com/longevity-forcecut-40d-40amp-pilot-arc-plasma-cutter-dual-voltage/#oid=1002_1Grinder: http://www.jbtoolsales.com/makita-9557pbx1-4-1-2-angle-grinder/#oid=1002_1Angle Die Grinder: http://www.jbtoolsales.com/ingersoll-rand-301b2mk-air-angle-die-grinder-2-kit/#oid=1002_1Sawzall without a chord: http://www.jbtoolsales.com/milwaukee-2620-21-sawzall-recip-kit-with-battery-m18/#oid=1002_1Sawzall with a chord: http://www.jbtoolsales.com/milwaukee-6509-31-sawzall-recip-saw-kit-with-case/#oid=1002_1Air Hammer: http://www.jbtoolsales.com/titan-tools-19709-air-hammer/#oid=1002_1For other tools and deals check out the Tools page at EricTheCarGuy.com: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/toolsAutomotive help articles.Engine overheathttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/what-to-do-when-your-engine-overheatsNo start problemshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-automotive-no-start-problemsIdle issueshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-automotive-idle-problemsPerformance issueshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-automotive-performance-issuesDiagnosing Noiseshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/diagnosing-noises-in-your-carDiagnosing Vibrationshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/determining-the-causes-of-vehicle-vibrationsElectrical Problemshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-automotive-electrical-problemsBrake Issueshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-brake-problemsTransmission issueshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-transmission-problemsHVAC problemshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/solving-automotive-hvac-problemsBuying a Used Carhttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/what-to-look-for-in-a-used-car-purchaseLeakshttp://www.ericthecarguy.com/faq/finding-and-fixing-leaksMPGhttp://ericthecarguy.com/faq/finding-and-fixing-the-causes-of-poor-mpgDiscussion about this Video: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/kunena/18-The-EricTheCarGuy-Video-Forum/52009-fabricating-exhaust-parts#102398The best place for answers to your automotive questions: http://www.ericthecarguy.comETCG FAQ Page: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/faqEricTheCarGuy code lookup: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/obd-code-lookupFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/EricTheCarGuy?fref=tsTwitter: https://twitter.com/EricTheCarGuyGoogle+: https://plus.google.com/100195180196698058780/postsInformation on Premium Membership: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/premium-content-streaming-etcg-contentStay DirtyETCGDue to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information.
