RENAULT OROCH OUTSIDER with 1.3 Turbo engine from Mercedes-Benz

Renault do Brasil presents the Oroch 2023 pickup. The revolutionary model, which created a new segment within the pickup universe, hits the market with more power and torque with the 1.3 TCe Flex turbo engine, renewed external design that reinforces its robustness, interior completely new, bringing much more refinement and sophistication, and new technologies of connectivity, comfort and safety.

Innovative since its conception, Oroch was the first national pickup that combined the comfort of an SUV with the versatility of having a right-sized bed, bringing ample wheelbase and internal space, as well as independent suspension on four wheels – MacPherson in the front. and Multilink rear – allowing the model to ride comfortably and safely in different conditions.

For the 2023 line, the pickup will be marketed in three new versions: PRO, Intense and Outsider. The first two feature the efficient 1.6 SCe engine, with the new six-speed manual transmission, while the top-of-the-range Outsider debuts the 1.3 TCe Flex turbo engine, the same used in the Captur and Duster, with 170 hp and 27.5 kgfm of torque.

With this combination, the Oroch Outsider 2023 brings great performance with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and a top speed of 189 km/h. With an elastic torque curve, the pickup offers maximum power in different rpm ranges, favoring safe overtaking, even with load.

With gasoline, consumption on the road is 11 km/l and in the city 10.5 km/l. With ethanol, consumption is 7.8 km/l on highways and 7.4 km/l in urban areas.

The great novelty of the PRO and Intense versions is the new six-speed manual transmission, combined with the 1.6 SCe engine. With better gear scaling, the Oroch 1.6 had gains in acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, which went from 12.5s to 11.8 s, as well as in top speed, which is now 169 km/h. The first gear ratio was 9% shorter, favoring the start, especially with the vehicle loaded, while the adoption of the sixth gear allowed a 22% longer ratio in the last gear, reducing the rotation by 18% at 120 km/h, privileging comfort in road conditions.

Offering an excellent 120 hp and 16.2 kgfm of torque, the 1.6 SCe engine brings a reduction of up to 1.8% in consumption, compared to the previous model.

Main equipment: air conditioning, electro-hydraulic steering with height adjustment, electric locks and front windows. Bucket guard, mixed-use green tires and alarm. Dual airbags, ABS brakes with BAS, Stability Control (ESP), Traction Control (TCS), Anti-Rollover System (RMI) and Hill Start Assist (HSA).

Main equipment: All of the PRO version, plus 16” alloy wheel, 8” EasyLink with wireless connection, electric windows and mirrors, on-board computer, reverse sensor, fog lights, functional roof bars, driver arm, gloss black mirrors and door handles and body-coloured bumper.

Engine/Transmission: 1.3 TCe Flex/CVT X-Tronic turbo with eight speeds.

Main equipment: All of the Intense version, plus automatic and digital air conditioning, twilight and rain sensor, front grille with chrome details, mudguards, roof rack, marine roof, reverse camera, auxiliary mile rear window, premium upholstery seats, biton diamond wheel and 1.3 TCe Flex turbo engine, with eight-speed CVT XTRONIC® transmission.
