Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and BMW Financial Services have different algorithms and approval requirements when processing your application for approval on a lease.

With BMW, your score generally translates to which Tier you fall under, whereas with Mercedes, your credit profile as a whole is put through the decision making algorithm which kicks back a Tier to the dealer.

Often, a way around a lower Tier approval is what dealers like to call a “Tier Bump”. This happens manually when a dealer calls the institution directly and asks them for some help lowering your APR or Money Factor.
