-2022 BMW X3 Interior Review

Interior:7.9/10
The 2022 BMW X3 has an attractive, upscale interior. However, it doesn’t quite hit the luxury heights that you’ll find in some class rivals. Both rows of seats are roomy and comfortable, and cargo space is good for the class. The X3’s infotainment system is easy to use as well.
-Cargo
The BMW X3 gives you 28.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind its rear seats and 62.7 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. That’s more cargo room than most other luxury compact SUVs offer. There’s plenty of small-item storage throughout the cabin as well. A power liftgate comes standard, and a hands-free power liftgate is available.
-Seating
The X3 seats five and comes standard with synthetic leather upholstery and power-adjustable front seats. Genuine leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel are available.

Drivers enjoy plenty of visibility, and the front seats are roomy, supportive, and comfortable. The rear seats are similarly inviting, with ample head- and legroom for adult occupants. Large doors make it easy to get in and out of the vehicle.

For installing child safety seats, there are two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear outboard seats and a tether anchor for the rear middle seat. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives the X3's LATCH system the second-lowest rating of Marginal for its ease of use. There are no issues with the tether anchors, but the lower anchors are set too deeply in the seats and can be tough to maneuver around.
-Interior Features
Standard features in the X3 include tri-zone automatic climate control, a 5.1-inch digital gauge cluster, a 10.25-inch touch screen, navigation, a 12-speaker stereo, HD Radio, USB ports, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

Available features include a panoramic moonroof, remote start, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12.3-inch touch screen, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, satellite radio, and wireless device charging.

BMW’s iDrive infotainment system works well, and it’s easy to use. Response times are quick, and the large display features sharp graphics. There are a variety of ways to make selections, including via the touch screen, the touchpad controller, and voice commands.
