Modernity, strength and versatility: These are what the design of the GLC stands for. The design idiom of the GLC follows the design philosophy of sensual purity, and illustrates the carefully considered interplay of aesthetics, agility and intelligence. The overall appearance is now more sporty, with continuous chrome trim elements from the front end to the rear as standard. A strong off-road emphasis is provided by the prominent lines, muscular surface contours and striking details, e.g. in the equipment lines AMG Line and OFFROAD Exterior.
As an alternative to the standard AGILITY CONTROL suspension, the DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL steel suspension with variably regulated damping adjustment is optionally available. The shock absorbers are individually controlled at each wheel depending on the driving situation, speed and the condition of the road surface. Three characteristic curves can be selected using the DYNAMIC SELECT switch - see next section. The air BODY CONTROL air suspension can be chosen for even more comfort and variability. In combination with the standard DYNAMIC SELECT, this also makes it possible to lower or raise the vehicle level by 15 mm.
The air BODY CONTROL include Fully supporting multi-chamber air suspension with active damping system. Active (electronically controlled, infinitely variable); individual suspension setup possible using DYNAMIC SELECT switch. The air springs at the front and rear axle have several volumes which can be switched on and off via solenoid valves, depending on the driving situation. This results in different spring rates. The necessary spread from soft basic springing for cruising that is as comfortable as possible through to sporty tuning is thus facilitated. With sports direct steering. The suspension automatically adapts to different load conditions. The all-round pneumatic level control allows an up to 15 mm higher ground clearance at the touch of a button, and at high speeds the suspension is lowered by up to 15 mm to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve stability.
The infotainment system MBUX - Mercedes-Benz User Experience ushered in a new era in Mercedes me connectivity. A unique feature of this system is the ability to learn thanks to artificial intelligence. Mercedes-Benz User Experience is customisable and adapts to the user. "Hey Mercedes" is the keyword for the voice control function. The optional Mercedes-Benz User Experience Interior Assistant recognises hand and arm gestures, making operation even easier.
