Mat’s lining up in the incredible Audi S1 Hoonitron, and is about to go head-to-head with the iconic 1985 Audi S1 Quattro Group B rally car!
So let’s see how these three incredible Audis stack up. Starting with the S1 Hoonitron, it’s a car you would normally expect to see smashing out doughnuts rather than running in a straight line!
However, it still packs a mighty punch, with its two electric motors delivering 680hp and 640Nm of torque. What’s more, despite packing a 50kWh battery, it’s still fairly light, weighing in at 1,620kg.
Then we have the infamous Audi Group B rally car. It’s got a 2.1-litre 5 cylinder turbo producing 500hp & 480Nm. It may be down on power but it’s a fair bit lighter than the Hoonitron, tipping the scales at just 1,090kg.
So how do you think this one will play out? Will the Hoonitron leave the old rally car in its wake? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
