Raining W126 300SDs in PNW: Guess What is Weird on This Turbo Diesel Engine?

The engine is the silver 300SD that I got running with the remote fuel tank and some "weirdness" to it. I have noticed there are four things on this engine that are not typical in most W126 5 cylinder turbo diesels 1981 to 1985. Can you spot what they are? Part 2 to follow in one week.
