Fault: ESP BAS ETS Lights on & low range will not engage
OBD/Star Fault: Front Wheel Speed Sensor
2004 Mercedes ML270
The fault was originally intermittent before becoming a permanent fault. On long runs the light may go off or in dry weather. Diagnostic showed the front wheel speed sensor however gave the same speed reading as the other three wheels. I replaced this to begin with but it made no difference. I then looked at the brushes in the ABS pump and the lock to lock reset. None of the fixes made any difference to my fault until I started to inspect the loom and found a broken wire.
Hopefully this might help someone else fix there ML!
Thanks for watching.
