There' is many guides & videos on how to change the thermostat and electric water pump on the BMW E90 N55 335i ... but there is only one other video about the BMW F30 N55 2013+ thermostat. It is not a difficult job but it is long when you do it for the first time. You have to keep switching working positions from working on top to work under the car. There is a very limited working space and to use prying leverage. Though, the thermostat is very important part to be replaced, especially when your heating starts getting cold when you're in a traffic or waiting at a red light. Make sure to have it changed. The BMW F30 N55 is designed in a way that the thermostat and the electric pump are seperated from each other unlike the BMW E90 N55 (which are beside each other). Therefore, the DIY / guide is different. Also, the BMW F30 has a electric power steering so there front sway bar and the steering rack is not in our way. The reinstallation is simple. I strongly suggest you get a extra long Flat head screw driver, at least 11 inches (30cm). I got mine on ebay. They are pretty rare. I am pretty sure its very similar design for the thermostat & water pump on newer bmws equipped with the N55 engine (twin scroll turbo)

Reverse steps to put things back since i did not film it:

1.Slip the thermostat housing back in place
2.Slip the big rubber hose on the thermostat housing
3.Slip the thermostat housing onto the quick connect radiator inlet/oulet & lock it
(after swapping out the O-ring, it was easy)
4.Tighten the clamp of the big rubber hose
5.Slip both smaller hoses (including the other small quick connect, i started slipping the small rubber hose before the small quick connect)
6.Make sure you tighten the clamp of the smaller hose & clip the quick connect
7. Plug back the connector on the thermostat housing sensor
8.Put back the intercooler rubber pipe (Put the clip first and then the plastic brown thing)
9.Install back the engine under cover
10.Install back the intake , vaccum line & sensor connector
11. Tighten back both T25 from the radiator shroud
12. Refill BMW approved coolant (No phosphate and low silicate coolant)
