In this video, I changed the rear differential oil on a 1981 Mercedes-Benz 240D.
This procedure should be similar on the various W123 models, such as the 200D, 220D, 280E, 300D, 300TD, etc. Also very similar for W126 models.
Tools needed:
14mm hex/allen socket (or Mercedes/Hazet drain plug tool 117 589 02 07 00)
Drain pan - 1.5L capacity. (Hazet 197N-1 used in video)
Materials needed:
Rags
2 quarts of gear lube (see owners or service manual for specifics)
Brake cleaner or some similar way to clean gear oil residue
