Mercedes ABS motor noise

Engine off, Key on. Motor always on and making loud hum. You can hear the hum get quieter as I apply the brakes. Always on is one issue I am looking to fix, but wondering if the motor is loud because it is going out. Maybe just needs new bearing?

One thing to note, I can hear and the vibration all the way back to the rear driver side wheel area, When the hum first started a day ago, we thought it was coming from the trunk area on driver side, then I found that it would stop when I applied brakes which lead me under the hood to the ABS control unit motor.
Curious why it is humming down the line to the wheel and only that one wheel area? Could that humming be something other than the motor?
