In this video we re-cover some previous tracks to find a permanent solution. My gauge cluster in the ML55 had an erratic rpm needle caused by a worn out stepper motor, so we went in to replace it. Pretty straight forward process once you get the hang of everything and solved the problem for good! Usually the bed stepper motor's needle will vibrate before and after start up, if this is happening to your cluster, this will be the fix regardless of make or model most times. You would just need to find what type of stepper motor your vehicle uses.
