Hi, this 'how to' video shows an in depth installation of an emulator (resistor mod) on a OM642 engine (3.0 CRD) commonly found on various vehicles (Jeep/Mercedes/Dodge/Chrysler) commonly manufactured between 2005-2010. The vehicle in the video is a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
This will allow your vehicle to come out of limp mode by tricking it into thinking the swirl flap motor is still functioning. Once fitted the car will not perform as well (not as good low speed engine performance/fuel economy/emissions) but in 'real world' driving you will be unlikely to notice any difference.

Here is the UK eBay Affiliate link for the Bypass Emulator https://ebay.to/2GriAAk

Remember this is a workaround to get your vehicle going again. Obviously it would be better to replace the failed swirl flap motor, but access to it can be time consuming. If you are getting the garage to do the work it may not be cost effective, OR maybe you need to save up the money, and this resistor trick will get you motoring again until the funds allow the proper fix.
Many thanks, Vince :-)
