It was only last week that Mat had to wave goodbye to his Audi R8 Spyder long-term daily driver.
But fear not! He’s already swapped it for another Audi - an Audi RS7 Sportback Performance! Mat’s been allowed to spec this car exactly as he wants it, so in this video, he’s going to take you on a walk through exactly what he’s chosen, while also taking you on a drive with this new long-term Sportback!
So for starters, let’s check out the design. Naturally, Mat went for the top-of-the-range Carbon Vorsprung pack, so there’s loads of carbon to be found on the outside, from the badges and side skirts through to the side mirrors and grille. Some of these are additional options that cost a few hundred pounds each, but there’s one option that costs so much more. The Ascari Blue matt finish paint comes in at around £6,000!!
Step inside and the interior is oh-so nice. Even if the design is a few years old now, it still looks really smart. There’s a large infotainment screen in the centre of the dash, coupled with a large digital dial screen. Materials throughout the cabin are really nice, and the new RS7 Performance comes with an Alcantara steering wheel as well. When it comes to options Mat added, he went for the blue stitching throughout the cabin, coupled with blue seatbelts and blue stitching in the sport seats.
When it comes to the engine, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can produce 630hp and 850Nm of torque. It also comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive.
Naturally, the car isn’t cheap. With all the options added it costs a mind-boggling £143,000! So is it worth it? And more importantly, will Mat prefer it to his Audi R8 Spyder? You’ll need to keep watching to see for yourself!
